Samvidhan LIVE! Be a Jagrik is a national level movement across the country to create awareness on fundamental rights and duties among youth. The concept of JAGRIK is derived from the word Jagruk (aware) and Nagrik (citizen). Samvidhan Live! Be a jagrik, facilitates the balancing of the rights and duties in the context of citizens and individuals through lived action games and expressions. The tasks are layered to encourage youth to be able to practise their fundamental rights pertinent to educations, equality practices, against discriminatory practices, etc. It will create a platform for adolescent groups to live the ground realities of the constitution, be aware of their fundamental rights and duties by promoting self-realization feelings of ownership, freedom, and social hope.
To this effect, NEN organised a 2 days workshop for 12 Jagrik Facilitators and 11 community mobilisers from Darrang, Dhemaji, Kamrup, Golaghat, Sonitpur and Udalguri district. The workshop aimed to develop the capacities of young facilitators to be a change-makers in their communities.
