17 biodiversity festival

“Agroecology for Community Resilience”

 

The 17th Biodiversity Festival, themed “Agroecology for Community Resilience,” will take place on 11–12 March 2026 at the NEN Resource Centre, Chizami Village, Nagaland. The festival brings together farmers, youth, artisans, and community members to celebrate the rich biodiversity of the region and strengthen agroecological practices rooted in indigenous knowledge.

 

Highlights of the event include a Youth Convening, Seed Exhibitions and Exchange, Biodiversity Exhibitions, and a lively Farmer’s Market. Visitors can also experience cultural performances, craft exhibitions with demonstrations and sales, and a community potluck, creating a vibrant space for learning, sharing, and building community resilience.
