Funded by Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) and facilitated by North East Slow Food & Agrobiodiversity (NESFAS) Meghalaya, the project is implemented in 28 villages under Noklak and Phek districts of Nagaland. The goal of the project is to enhance indigenous food systems (IFS) to significantly contribute to improved nutrition, food security and sustainable livelihoods of North East Indian indigenous communities with special focus on youth, adolescent girls, women’s groups, community elders and custodian farmers.
