16 – 18 November, 2016
North East Network, a women’s rights organisation, in collaboration with Centre for Social Research, Delhi conducted 6 workshops in the city of Shillong on online safety and counter speech from 16 – 18 November, 2016. The workshop is called ‘Social Surfing’ and is a project supported by Facebook India. This workshop was carried out in: Jettwings Institute, St Anthony’s College, Lady Keane College, St Edmund’s College, Women’s College and EFLU (English Foreign Language University) NEHU. The workshop built the capacities of participants on understanding the significance of Internet, online safety, optimal use of counter speech, and need for gender sensitive cyber etiquette.
