The Annual Bio Diversity Festival by NEN in Nagaland started on 4th March, 2021 with 93 participants from Phor, New Phor, Shatüzha, Wuzu, Küzatü, Hutsü, and Yisi!
The Festival has brought together diverse stakeholders under one umbrella to celebrate the vast biodiversity found in the north east region. Ideas will be shared for the conservation and protection of such biodiversity, indigenous knowledge and practices, culture, food and farming systems.
This year, we organised the event at three locations namely: Phor, Phek District on the 4th of March, 2021; Pathso, Noklak District 10th March, 2021 and Tsüpfüme, Phek District Nagaland on 13th March, 2021 under the theme “Strengthening Indigenous Knowledge and Practices for a Sustainable Future”.
