NEN Assam organised Menstrual Health Awareness Campaigns on the occasion of International Youth Day 2023. Around 312 students participated in the programmes across 6 districts of Assam including Darrang, Golaghat, Udalguri, Dhemaji, Kamrup, and Sonitpur. The programmes were not limited to female participants alone, as a discussion on menstrual health and menstrual rights should involve all genders.

NEN’s peer educators led these programmes with dedication and enthusiasm. Through interactive discussions and thought-provoking plays, they initiated a dialogue among youth about menstrual health and hygiene.
