From 4th to 7th February 2025, 26 young changemakers from the Mirdan Youth Collective of NEN Assam came together on the scenic island of Majuli, Assam, for an intensive and transformative workshop focused on Patriarchy, Feminism, and Gender-Based Violence.
Through a series of interactive sessions, deep discussions, and creative activities, participants explored critical themes such as power, identities, intersectionalities, and the structural challenges posed by patriarchy and gender-based discrimination. The journey concluded with an exposure visit to The Hummingbird School, an initiative by the Ayang Trust, where participants engaged in a meaningful exchange of ideas and experiences—deepening their understanding of community-rooted education and social change.
This powerful learning experience marks another step forward in nurturing youth leadership for resilient and gender-just communities.
