Li Cheh Kro (LCK) Weavers Producer Company Limited held its 3rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 29th, 2023 at Chizami Town Hall in Phek, Nagaland.
At the business hour, LCK’s Chairperson Thunolu Chirhah congratulated the Company for achieving a milestone as it has completed its two years. She shared about the Company’s Memorandum of Association and the Articles of Association and re-emphasised the importance of adhering to all legal compliances. She encouraged the shareholders to put in more effort as it is a company of the producers by the producers for the producers and that the success of the company lies in the contribution of each shareholder. A member of the Board of Directors, Kopenyiu Thele shared the business report of the company for the period July 2022 – September 2023, and highlighted its collaborative business activities with Nenteprise-Chizami Weaves and participation in different exhibitions. A member of the Board of Directors, Kezunyipeu Tsuhah stressed on the significance of maintaining quality control and positioning LCK as a company known for its quality and uniqueness.
A session on ‘Collective Leadership & Enterprise Building’ was facilitated by Neitshopeu Thopi, General Manager, Nenterprise. She encouraged the shareholders to uphold honesty, unity, vision, and commitment in their work, stating that these principles will lead to the growth & success of the company. She added that networking is a key skill to build a business enterprise. The session also included team-building activities aimed at fostering trust amongst the shareholders.
It may be mentioned that LCK is the first registered Weavers’ Producer Company in Nagaland, consisting of 300 weaver artisans from the Chizami Cluster. The company was officially registered on September 29th, 2021 under section 25 of the Indian Companies Act, 1956, supported and promoted by North East Network (NEN) and the National Bank of Agriculture & Rural Development (NABARD).
