While the world is still reconsidering the pros & cons of chemically induced crops that harm the climate as well as humans, local farmers of Nagaland serve as an inspiration.
Nagaland, an agricultural state still practices the traditional and sustainable style of agriculture. Farmers rely on the traditional knowledge of utilising organic resources for producing fresh organic food.
To support local farmers and promote organic produces, NEN Nagaland organised Farmers Market at 2 locations on the 12th of February, 2021. Held at Chizami Local Ground and at Kohima L. Khel Market Shed, High School Junction, the market brought together farmers from Enhulumi, Sumi, Chizami New Town, Lower Khomi, Chiechama, Phekerkriema, Ziezou, Jotsoma and Rusoma.
