A local complaints committee meeting under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act highlighted the importance of creating safer and more accountable workplaces for women in Assam. Chaired by Anurita Pathak Hazarika of North East Network, the meeting focused on sensitising members about workplace sexual harassment, complaint procedures, inquiry mechanisms, and the responsibilities of employers and institutions under the Act. Through continued advocacy, awareness-building, and institutional engagement, North East Network has worked to strengthen gender-sensitive systems and ensure safer professional environments for women.
