North East Network (NEN) Nagaland observed the global campaign with the theme ‘Together We Rise, Together We Unite for violence-free communities for Women and Girls’. The campaign, organised in 5 locations – Chizami, Chumukedima, Kohima, Pfutsero, and Shamator, focused on creating awareness about Child Rights and issues of Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) through the Personal Safety Education Programme (PSEP). It brought together students, children, parents, teachers, Community Leaders, Churches and Government agencies such as Department of Social Welfare and the District Administration Sakhi-One Stop Centre (OSC) Phek, District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Phek to voice out issues of violence against women and girls in the State. A total of 787 participants were reached out during the campaign of which 114 were Students and Children and 673 were parents, teachers, Community Leaders and Churches. This campaign was also a call for sustainable peace across all communities in the world.
