On 14 th February, 2018 NEN officially opened a Resource Centre/Library at their office premises in Jingkieng, Nongthmmai. The Resource Centre is envisioned to be a knowledge sharing center open to all, providing a space for learning and improving access to information. The Resource Centre has books ranging from Gender, Violence against Women, Women Empowerment, Reproductive Health, Adolescent and Sexuality, Legal Remedies and many more. Short video documentaries on various issues are also available, as well weaves from NEN Nagaland and NEN Assam. Professor Streamlet Dkhar was the Chief Guest for the occasion. In her speech she highlighted the usefulness of having such a Resource Centre, especially to those undertaking research studies. She encouraged NEN to have more materials in Khasi language and to translate NEN’s studies into local languages. The Resource Centre will conduct book reading sessions, film screenings, photography exhibitions and other related programmes starting from February, 2018.
