Times like these are trying and challenging, we all need to look out for each other. Bills need to be paid and most of us are quite helpless and we are all looking for our paladin to come to the rescue. Meet Laitlin Lyngdoh, an outreach worker from West Khasi Hills who has been working relentlessly and going from one village to another on spreading awareness to women about Corona Virus, Domestic Violence and Teenage Pregnancy along with the ASHAs and Anganwadi. Come rain, come shine or the pandemic, our outreach workers are still on their feet and with no excuse of stopping them from reaching out to women. Besides her work, She is also a member of behavioral change management committee constituted by the Dorbar Shnong of the Nongshillong Village under the instruction of the Block Development Officer. This Committee is responsible for imparting capacity building and sensitization of people on behavioral change as well as individualized training for care givers, students, laborers drivers and elderly people within the village during these times of crisis.
