Survivors of domestic violence can overcome the isolation by seeking counselling and support which can help them to move forward. In another step towards creating skilled grassroots counsellors for DV survivors, NEN in collaboration with MINDIndia has launched a “Certificate Course on Barefoot Counselling to address violence against women and girls”, from 8th to 15th February 2021, in Guwahati, Assam.
The participants are women already engaged in handling domestic violence cases as support group members of our Gramin Mahila Kendras across Assam. MIND India is an Institute of Positive Mental Health & Research, located in Guwahati, Assam.
