NEN team could continue to engage with the weavers by distributing raw materials to ensure a stable income throughout the year. NEN’s home-based model for weaving and remuneration processes managed to attract more women in the communities. The NEN project team and community mobilisers have developed a strategy to enhance skills of weavers. Each weaver is visited thrice after yarn is distributed in order to monitor their weaves and build their skills. Many weavers have perfected their skills and also started making fine products. These visits have also made our weavers aware of the importance of preserving their indigenous designs.
