In the scenic village of Joypur, dialogues and discussions unfolded about a future marked by co-existence with nature, about a future where collective experiences are valued. This was the third event under the banner of Journey of Learning (JOL) in Assam. A simple, yet visionary initiative, JOL is an attempt to bring together people of all generations and create a platform where women, youth and the elderly can share their varied and collective experiences, where all can learn from the past and envision a better future. From multicultural performances to discussions about organic farming practices, this JOL was an amalgamation of both learning and celebrations. While singing songs about the lives around and the prevalent social visions, JOL 3.0 also included performed conversations where important dialogues were raised. Messages about agrobiodiversity and a sustainable future echoed through a photo exhibition and documentary screening. The NEN team concluded this enriching evening with the hope of creating spaces for further dialogues and discussions in the days to come.
