Funded by Brot fur die Welt (BfdW) and MISEREOR Germany, the project has been initiated in the states of Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland since April 2019 and is to be fully implemented by 31st March 2022. The objective of the project is that women’s agency and community activism are sustained towards securing economic, cultural, political, ecological rights and entitlements. In Assam, the project activities are carried out in the districts of Kamrup, Darrang, Dhemaji, Golaghat, Udalguri and Sonitpur.
The project activities are derived from the three thematic areas. They are Gender-Based Discrimination and Violence against Women (GBDVAW); Governance and State Accountability; Natural Resource Management & Sustainable Livelihoods.
